FADY ASHAMALLA, MD

Dr. Ashamalla is a Board Certified General Psychiatrist and Clinical Assistant Professor at OCOM, who has more than 25 years of inpatient and outpatient experience in the medical field including General Psychiatry, General Surgery, Radiology and Internal Medicine. He got his psychiatry training at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

After graduation, he moved to FL and Since then, Dr. Ashamalla has practiced in the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Area serving the cities of Dr. Phillips, Windermere, MetroWest, Lake Butler, Bay Hill, Gotha, Lake Buena vista and the surroundings area.

He found that there is a high need for psychiatric care in Polk County and so he decided to start his own practice to serve Davenport area, Haines city, Celebration, Kissimmee, St Cloud, Poinciana, Four Corners, Clermont, Loughman, Lake Hamilton, Lake Alfred, Auburndale, Lakeland, Winter Haven and the surrounding areas.

The best reward of Dr. Ashamalla's busy psychiatric practice is the joy of helping patients in mental suffering and allowing them to recover their mental health and improve their quality of life.

Outside work, Dr. Ashamalla enjoys traveling, family activities, soccer and Reading.

Psychiatric conferences play a major role in Dr. Ashamalla 's practice as he keeps up to date on newest advances in his field of expertise.

Bindi Shah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor. She has been working with clients for over 12 years in various settings, and populations.

Her passions include helping people overcome their emotional burdens through counseling and psychotherapy using a humanistic, and strength-based approach. She believes a supportive, caring relationship where clients are honored and valued, can help to make positive changes, increase clients’ joy, and their overall functioning.

Bindi has experience working with relational issues, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. She has also helped clients who suffer from mood disorders, anger issues, and behavioral concerns.

Bindi enjoys working with young adults, adults and elders. She meets her clients where they are at, and works collaboratively to help achieve treatment goals.

Shannon Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida, bringing over 18 years of professional experience to her practice. She specializes in supporting clients through challenges such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self-esteem, and depression.

Shannon is committed to creating an open and safe environment where individuals can share their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.

Shannon's therapeutic approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy.

Ruthie Hagin, LMHC, LMFT

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Ruthie Hagin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 17 years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Mobile and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas.

In addition to her LMHC credential, Ruthie is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Ruthie specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

She is intensively trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, the gold standard for OCD treatment.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Christian, biblically faith-based principles with clinical treatment methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.
